An Akron father wants a judge and jury to hold a Chinese drug supplier responsible for his son’s death.

James Rauh filed a wrongful-death lawsuit in Summit County Common Pleas Court, alleging that Fujing Zheng, his father Guanghua and others shipped the fentanyl that killed Rauh’s son, Thomas, on March 21, 2015.

Jim Rauh, Founder of Families Against Fentanyl with Tom Ridge, Chairman of Ridge Global, the first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the 43rd Governor of Pennsylvania. Former Secretary Ridge discussed threats to the safety of our country and the dangers of fentanyl at the Akron Roundtable in September of 2019. He also indicated that he believes that illicitly manufactured fentanyl is a weapon of mass destruction.

Department of Justice 2020 National Opioid Summit

Founder of Families Against Fentanyl, Jim Rauh, was asked to speak on a panel at the Department of Justice 2020 National Opioid Summit in Washington, D.C on March 6th. As a panelist, he spoke on the threats to the safety of our country due to the dangers of fentanyl.
